Bocherelle is a cheerful and sophisticated decorative dahlia, highly prized by floral designers for its unique, warm "sunset" tones.

Characteristics:

Form: Formal Decorative (FD). Produces fully double, symmetrical flowers with broad, rounded petals that are neatly arranged.

Color: Yellow (Y) / Apricot Blend. Features buttery yellow centers that transition into soft apricot and melon tones at the petal edges. The coloring is often described as "warm sunshine" without being overly bright or neon.

Bloom Size: Small (BB) or Medium. Blooms typically range from 4 to 5 inches (10–12 cm) in diameter, offering a generous fullness that makes a statement in bouquets

Height: Medium. Grows to approximately 3 to 3.5 feet (90–105 cm) tall. The plants are known for their healthy, dark green foliage which provides a striking contrast to the warm blooms.

Performance: Excellent Cut Flower. Bocherelle is celebrated for its strong, smooth stems and upward-facing blooms. While the plant itself can sometimes be a bit shorter than other varieties, it is a prolific bloomer that responds well to deep cuts, providing "sunny" stems all season long.

Grower’s Tip: To get the best stem length for cutting, give Bocherelle a "good pinch" (removing the center terminal bud) when the plant is about 12 inches tall to encourage branching and long-stemmed lateral growth.
