Bell’ Palermo

The Bell Palermo dahlia is a breathtaking and romantic variety hybridized by Craig Bell of Bonny Blooms in the Pacific Northwest. Introduced for the 2025 season, it is celebrated for its evocative "sunset" colors and its unique, slow-unfurling center that makes it a standout in high-end floral design.

• Color: Peach / Coral / Light Blend. A stunning gradient of coral to dusty rose gold that reminds growers of hazy summer evenings in the Sicilian city of Palermo. It often unfurls around a beautiful green eye, which adds depth and contrast to its warm, glowing tones.
• Form: Formal Decorative (FD). Features symmetrical, neatly arranged petals that create a structured and refined bloom shape.
• Bloom Size: Small (BB). Blooms typically measure between 4 to 5 inches (10–12.5 cm) in diameter, an ideal size for focal work in summer bouquets.
• Height: Tall. A vigorous grower that reaches approximately 5 feet (150 cm) tall. Due to its height and prolific nature, staking is required to support the plant later in the season.
• Performance: Strong and Productive. Known for its strong stems and productive blooming habit, this variety is highly valued for design work. The blooms are angled perfectly on the stems, making them as functional for cutting as they are beautiful for garden display.
