Baron Katie

The Baron Katie dahlia is a magnificent and high-energy variety introduced by Ron Miner in 2000. It is celebrated for its "flame-like" appearance, early bloom time, and exceptional productivity, making it a reliable favorite for both exhibition shows and vibrant market bouquets.

• Color: Flame Blend (FL). A vivid and luscious blend of coral-orange, fiery red, and yellow. The petals often appear to have a "watercolor" swirl that glows in the garden.
• Form: Informal Decorative (ID). Features elegant petals that twist, curl, and twirl on their axis, giving the bloom a playful, feathery, and relaxed character. ADS Classification: 3112 (BB-ID-FL).
• Bloom Size: Small (BB). Flowers are typically between 4 and 6 inches (10–15 cm) in diameter.
• Height: Tall. A vigorous, upright plant that generally grows to 4 or 5 feet (120–150 cm) tall.
• Performance: Early & Prolific Workhorse. Renowned for being one of the first dahlias to bloom in the season and continuing tirelessly until the first frost. It produces a high volume of long, strong stems and is noted as an excellent tuber producer.
