Araluen Leatrice Dahlia is a prized variety introduced in 1967 by Australian hybridizer Ron Wilkes. It is an award-winning bloom celebrated for its perfect form and highly coveted soft pink color tipped with gold.
Characteristics:
Form:Â Formal Decorative (FD) or Miniature Decorative. A very tidy, symmetrical, and well-formed bloom with petals that are closely arranged, giving it a classic and refined shape.
Colour:Â Soft Baby Pink with Gold Tips. The petals are a delicate, cool, pastel pink that features distinct and beautiful gold or light yellow pointed tips. This dual-tone effect adds depth and luminosity to the bloom.
Bloom Size: M (Miniature) / BB (Small). The flowers are sized perfectly for bouquets, measuring under 120mm (approximately 3 to 4.5 inches across.)
Height: Medium to Tall. The plant is sturdy and reliably grows to approximately 3 to 4 feet tall, though some growers report a height up to 1.5m.
Performance:Â Highly Sought-After Cut Flower. This dahlia is known for its excellent stem quality, making it a favorite for wedding and high-end floral work. It is a reliable grower, producing consistent blooms throughout the season, and is considered one of the most desirable pink miniatures in the cut-flower trade.
