Alloway cottage

The Alloway Cottage dahlia is a classic and romantic variety introduced by Jock Stitt of New Zealand in 1970. It is highly prized by collectors and florists for its nostalgic "cottage garden" charm, featuring luminous, satin-like petals that shift in color as they mature.

• Color: Light Blend (LB). A soft, ethereal mix of creamy ivory and lemon-yellow that develops a delicate blush of pink or mauve toward the center and petal tips as the bloom opens
• Form: Formal Decorative (FD). Features wide, rounded petals arranged with exceptional symmetry to create a full, voluptuous bloom. It is noted for its "waterlily-like" appearance when the petals furl at night
• Bloom Size: Medium (B). Substantial flowers that typically measure between 6 to 8 inches (15–20 cm) in diameter
• Height: Tall. A vigorous grower that reaches approximately 3.5 to 5 feet (105–150 cm) tall.
