The 20th Ave Softer Peach dahlia is a graceful and versatile variety introduced by Rich Gibson in 2021. It is celebrated for its romantic, shifting colors and robust growth, making it a reliable "workhorse" for both cutting gardens and sophisticated floral arrangements.
- Color: Pink (PK) / Light Blend. A soft, creamy peach that blends into a delicate blush pink, often featuring gold-tipped petals or a warm, glowing "papaya" heart. The color is noted for its "chameleon-like" qualities, shifting from bronze-pink in summer to deeper sienna tones after the first cool nights of autumn.
- Form: Formal Decorative (FD). A refined, symmetrical bloom with smoothly layered petals that fold gently back toward the stem when fully open. ADS Classification: 3004.
- Bloom Size: Small (BB). Substantial blooms typically range from 4 to 6 inches (10–15 cm) in diameter, offering a lush, fully double appearance.
- Height: Tall. A vigorous grower that typically reaches 4.5 to 5 feet (135–150 cm) in height, producing long, sturdy stems that are exceptionally hurricane-resistant.
- Performance: Highly Productive & Resilient. Renowned as an "overachiever," this variety produces a non-stop supply of flowers throughout the season. It is prized by florists for its above-average vase life—lasting up to a week or more—and its habit of producing robust, easy-to-store tubers.
